While supervising the crew assigned to the DMV Building, Mr. Didway was headed to his car in the DMV parking lot on lunch break when he saw an angry and out-of-control man turn and punch an unsuspecting woman. When Mr. Didway saw the outburst, he threw down his lunch and ran toward the assailant. The man was going to strike the woman again when he saw Mr. Didway. He started to run away and then abruptly turned and headed toward Mr. Didway. Mr Didway succeeded in pinning him to the back end of a car, restraining the fighting and kicking man until DMV security officers arrived.
